The famous painter Georges Seurat painted Sunday Afternoon
on the Island of La Grande Jatte. This painting was formed
by lots of tiny dots in a method called pointillism. It is
an oil painting on a canvas of 81 x 120 inches. It is
currently displayed in the Art Institute of Chicago. Seurat
painted it from 1884 to 1886.
In this painting there is a lady with an umbrella in
the lower right hand corner. In front of her there is a dog
and cat. Next to the lady there is a man with a top hat.
Towards the middle of the painting there are two girls
sitting, one has her umbrella open and the other girl's
umbrella is next to her, she also has flowers in her hand.
In front of them there is a lady with an umbrella and a
little girl, they are holding hands...
