Sexual Education Discussion
In a world where sex is highlighted through the media in so many ways, it is important for adolescents to have a source that will sort out all the misinformation. One harmful aspect shown in the media is the belief that it is okay for adolescents to have sex freely without morals or physical self-control. Sex is used to sell everything and to make television shows more provocatively appealing to audiences.
I think sex education that informs teens that they are normal even if they do not follow sexual clichs like their peers. They need to be taught that they don't have to fall under peer pressure and how to avoid it if possible. Sex education however, should not include the who, where, when, and how to get involved in sexual activities. It should teach young adults that their bodies are precious instruments and they should not willfully and freely defile it.
Teens should be taught bout the consequences of sexual promiscuity. They should be educated on the emotional and spiritual stress that sexual immorality brings. It is not just a physical impartation...
