Many years ago, before cable television, videos, video games, and the internet - reading was a national pastime. Teenagers spent hours reading books and learning. Unfortunately we have lost the skills to read and the passion to learn. Many children don't believe that reading is important research however shows that children that read have higher IQs, are more creative, do better in school, and get higher paying jobs. Reading is more important today than it ever was it is crucial to being an informed citizen, to succeed in one's chosen career, and to personal fulfillment. While read you will be educated and at the same time you will relax by relaxing I mine get away from your troubles in life anger depression just pick up a book and start reading it might solve some of your problems but not all so this is one of the reasons why reading in important. While read you will be educating yourself at the same time you are gaining a great amount of knowledge that will help you some time in your life. Reading does not only give knowledge it help the reader to get better skills that will help in different areas such as vocabulary, and fluency. Vocabulary is important to everybody like when I am writing the essay I have to make sure that my vocabulary is correct but now we have computers help us a lot. Fluency is a great thing when talking to a person for example in an important meeting and you stop after every word you will make him think your uneducated person and that is not good for you...
