Customs
o Clothing- traditionally, Guatemalan women will wear colorful huipils, or a blouse like garment. Along with the blouse they often wear a corte, which is a long skirt. The traditional clothing is more often worn by women than by men. Men have taken on a more American style of dress. The way they dress is also a way to show what tribe they are from.
o Hobbies-underwater basket weaving is one of the most cultural activities in Guatemala. The women will weave most of the family clothes on a machine know as a backstrap loom. Another popular hobby is making ceramics with clay on a spinning wheel.
o Recreation- Soccer is a sport that the youth can enjoy. Guatemala City even has the largest soccer stadium in Central America...
