From my third floor room of Howerton residence hall, the window over looks a great wooden deck. From my room you can see its shape, the eleven benches that border its back walls, the three tables and sixteen cast iron chairs, the fifteen large boxes with fifteen trees growing from each one and even the drive that follows along one side. As you look closer you may notice the white pine, the type of wood that it was made from, or its three different levels. These thing make then place a great place to spend time outside, whether it be eating lunch, doing home work, meeting friends, waiting for a ride or having a place to do a little devotional.
The desk I use in my room is positioned so that I can look out the window; on to the deck. I tend to find myself watching people as they spend time on the deck. Usually people spend there time alone. The other day I was walking past and I saw a guy sitting on one of the many benches with a book open on his lap, as I got closer I also realized that he had his eyes closed and he was sleeping I thought it was funny this showed me that this must me a great place to study. The sleeping studier showed me that, the deck was a great place, one thing it must me a good place to study, obviously this guy did thought that too, another is that it must be fairly quiet.
The day after I saw the "sleeping studier" I decided to eat lunch and study before afternoon class started...
