In modern society throughout the world our beliefs, morals, traditions and practices suggest that a mother’s life has a greater value then her unborn child, which legally allows her to determine is she should give birth to her child, or terminate her pregnancy. Abortion has gradually crept into our society as an accepted norm, and a legal practice, disregarding the fact that each human life is dependant from its parent’s life, or the life of its creators. ... The question of when does
a life begin, if the single sperm and ovum is not considered a human, for the catalyst and all the material for human development and formation is already present as soon as the two unite. ... Most importantly, the fetus is alive because death is a possibility. ... “Death can occur anytime throughout life, minutes after fertilization or ninety five years after fertilization. Death is merely the end of human life.”(Abortion Information You Can Use) A fetus is considered human, as soon as the potential egg, and the potential sperm unite together to form the beginning of a new life.
Statistics show that abortion poses less threat to the mother’s life then if she was to follow through with child birth. Therefore abortion is a viable option if the mother is afraid of loosing her life to her child, for she has the “right” to determine the safest route during pregnancy.
