Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; a name that is known among all of mankind today. Even then, Mozart was the rage of the century. He was the composer of his time. Although many other composers came from that same time that Mozart did, they were never as strongly known as he is, for he was the true genius. He composed piano concertos, sonatas, masses, arias, and on and on, yet most of all, Mozart composed operas.
There were three main types of operas that Mozart composed during his time. They were Opera Seria, Opera Buffa, and Singspiel. In all of these categories, Mozart was able to come out with numerous operas that were praised by most if not all in his time. For Opera Seria, Mozart composed both Idomeneo (1781) and La Clamenza di Tito (1791). In Singspiel, he composed Entfuhung Aus Dem Serail The Abduction from the Seraglio (1782), and Die Zauberfloute The Magic Flute (1791)...
