Macbeth Essay
Shakespeare wrote Macbeth the Scottish play in 1606. The main character of the play is Macbeth. The story is fully covered in evil and deceit it starts by saying that he is a very good man indeed. It is as if he was a local hero and could do no wrong. The sergeant refers to him as 'brave Macbeth' and Duncan says "O' valiant cousin!" Worthy gentleman!" Macbeth, a general in the King's Army of Scotland takes predictions from three witches in which he was to become, Thane of Glamis, Thane of Cawdor then King of Scotland. These predictions gave him hope and encouraged him to become greater. Macbeth knew in order to become each of these he would have to do something.
