Summary
This experiment measures pressure using three different devices. Install cap on end of the manometer manifold. With the air-purge valve closed, close the apparatus (outlet) valve fully then open by three turns. Switch on the bench (pump). Slowly open the bench supply valve and adjust the flowrate through the apparatus so that the rotameter indicates a level of 20. This will be your maximum flowrate. Adjust the pressure in the manometer manifold so all readings are within range. Measure the flowrate by recording the weight, time, rotameter level, and manometer levels on the data sheet provided. Successively lower the flowrate into the tank by changing the supply valve setting of the hydraulic bench in increments of 5 on the rotameter.
