CHILD STUDY
The subject of this study is a ten-year-old male, approximately five feet two inches tall and weighing about seventy pounds. He lives in a middle class neighborhood in a single family home with his mother, father, and his older brother and sister. Both of the parents in the family work full-time, so the subject has a lot of time on his hands after school is let out. He has lived in the same neighborhood all of his life and has many friends, both male and female. I noticed that he seems to the leader of when it comes to interacting with his friends and they seem to congregate at his home the majority of the time.
He attends one of the largest public elementary schools in Sault Ste. Marie. The school is located in the east end of the city centered amongst single family and semidetached homes. The socioeconomic status ranges from low to high, with the predominant level being the lower to middle income level.
