Andrew Jackson
Andrew Jackson, (1767-1845), was the 7th president of the United States. At age 13 while serving in the army, the British captured him. The British officer in charge ordered him to clean his boots. Jackson refused; the officer struck him with his sword, leaving Jackson's face and hand permanently scarred. He was called the spokesman of the common man. He killed Charles Dickinson in a duel, which he fought to preserve his wife's honor. He also survived the first attempt to assassinate a president. He entered the white house in 1829. He had a wife, Rachel and one kid. He is Presbyterian...
