The war in Iraq raises a lot of questions both about should the US have gotten involved and issues that could arise within a family over the war. Lao Tzu would have been against the war in Iraq because he doesn’t support fighting. Kant doesn’t feel it is an obligation to be respectful and to help your family when they are in need. Confucius and I disagree with this view and think that your family is really important to you. You should consider how important your family is to you and do you feel that the US should have gotten involved in the war in Iraq?
I believe that Lao Tzu would have advised the US against getting involved in the Iraq war. ... ” This implies that even if you are a great fighter like the US armed forces, you should not go to war, especially not over revenge. I believe that the US tried to justify going to war over revenge of the terrorist’s acts that have occurred and for the suffering of the Iraqi people. This war caused Iraq to be put in to chaos and have the government fall and for there to be no real rules in place for the people.
Lao Tzu very strongly stated that he is against all forms of war and fighting. ... ” This statement states the Lao Tzu is against fighting unless it is really necessary and I don’t believe that Lao felt that it was necessary for the US to go to war with Iraq.
I feel the same way as Lao Tzu that we should not have gone to war with Iraq.
