The article called "The See-It-All Chip" is as described in the title, computer chips. The article was found in the Time Global business section and was written by Cathy Booth-Thomas. The article describes how computer chips are being used today and how they are affecting or could affect our lives in the future.
The opening paragraph starts off by telling us about different ways the chip is being used today around the world, also known as RFID (Radio-frequency identification). The next paragraph is about when RFID was first used in world war II by the british, to detect their own planes flying in. From there it has advanced a lot, its used in inventory checking and payment systems.
From pets to prisoners, RFID is used in as the author writes in the 3rd paragraph. Instead of using coins to go through toll booths, cars are being scanned and charged. The article informs us how everything is able to be tracked now, stright from the factory right into your home. Instead of barcodes, chips the size of pieces of glitter are being used to track and charge items...
