Circumcision
Circumcision of the male penis is a topic that has been discussed for several hundred years. Within the last forty years, however, the controversial nature of circumcision has reached an all-time high. People have begun to question whether or not it is morally right to conduct this surgery. The topic of male circumcision needs to be brought to the public's attention due to the facts that it is not necessary, it is a lifelong choice, and there are no medical benefits from the procedure.
Imagine having a natural part of your body cut off at birth. This is often times what happens to newborn baby boys. The removal of the foreskin around the penis, which is know as circumcision, is a common practice in American hospitals. Even though the surgery only last a couple seconds, it is still very painful. For many generations, reasons for circumcision were never questioned. However, now people are beginning to ask why this surgery is necessary...
