Unsuccessful "Pan-Indian Movement"
Tecumseh and his brother, the prophet, proved unsuccessful in their "Pan-Indian Movement" against the encroachment of the settlers moving westward in the 19th century. There were many reasons that led to this failure as I will point out in my essay. Although it was considered a failure, was it really? Tecumseh is a hero in many ways; therefore he is not a failure in everyone's eyes when it comes to the Pan-Indian Movement.
Tecumseh was a warrior from the beginning. This was is in his father and it was proven to fallow in the blood of Tecumseh. In his twenties he was involved in battle and had small groups that he led. He was by far a chief, but well in his way. His brother the prophet was a leader in religion...
