Unsuccessful “Pan-Indian Movement”
Tecumseh and his brother, the prophet, proved unsuccessful in their “Pan-Indian Movement” against the encroachment of the settlers moving westward in the 19th century. ... Tecumseh is a hero in many ways; therefore he is not a failure in everyone’s eyes when it comes to the Pan-Indian Movement. ... Tecumseh would get an alliance with the Indian tribes and gather them all together. ... There are many people that look at this as a failure to Indian movement. There are many people that look at this as a great accomplishment for the simple fact that it was a great step for the life and rights as an Indian.
