W Edwards Deming was an intuitive man. He familiarized himself with his surroundings and looked forward with a vision.
Deming is an American who taught the Japanese statistical quality control and principles of management after World War II. Deming familiarized himself with the culture of Japan. Deming said, "My method of learning is to become, so far as possible, Japanese."
Deming told the executives that they could produce quality and they had a method to do it. They would need to do consumer research and produce goods that would have market years from then. He simply told them they had to do it to eat. It they would send quality out, they would receive food back. That was the rebirth of the Japanese Industry, and the birth of Deming's "fourteen points...
