The fight for equality in the US was greatly affected by the actions of Rosa Parks. Her influence can be seen in the actions of civil rights leaders up to this day. Rosa Parks was also awarded for her heretic actions. The main reason she is looked up to is because she was the first African American to stand up to the segregation law. Bill Clinton once said, "In so many ways , Rosa Parks brought America home to our founders dream."
On December 1, 1995 Rosa Parks got arrested for refusing to yield a seat to a white man. This happened on a Montgomery, Alabama city bus. Her arrest created a national awareness to the treatment of African Americans...
