The thirteen colonies are separated by both the northern and the southern colonies. They both have advantages and disadvantages in the following features climate and geography, population, cities, economy, culture, and transportation. Not one colony is better than the other there are just in different geographic locations; so for instance while one colonies economy mostly circles around lumber the other may be mass producing tobacco. As much as the northern and southern colonies are different they are also very similar.
The climate and geography between the north and south have many differences and are few similarities between them. The northern colonies have warm, humid summers and cold snowy winters; the southern colonies have hot, long summers and mild winters with heavy rainfall. The geographic conditions for the north are rocky, infertile land with many forests with many bays. On the other hand the south has flat fertile land ideal for growing agriculture. The population is also a major factor between the north and the south.
