In education we are taught variety of subjects like sciences, literature and social studies. From all of them the role of disagreement is most important in the sciences. It is only the disagreement from the contemporary knowledge that inventors and discoverers had, that made them make new inventions and discoveries which change the course of human existence. Consider Copernicus who proved that the earth is sphere rather than flat, a belief that was running for centuries courtesy of Plato. Consider, Rutherford who proved that atom is divisible - the concept from which nuclear power and nuclear bombs developed.
In literature, their have been authors who have tried to break away from the mould and made something new. Like Mary Shelly (Author of Frankenstein), the founder of Romanticism type of fiction. Though they have definitely added to the world of literature but that does not mean that other authors have not contributed. Like Mark Twain, Jules Verne, these people might have not contributed in form of some ground breaking creations .But these writers have their own significance and have added to our knowledge...
