The gay marriage issue is one that, over it’s short-lived debate time (compared to some other national issues), has proven to be quite a culmination of human existence and cohabitation; aspects of our beliefs and “traditions”, of our social values, conventions and, most importantly, differences. In this essay, I will prove that gay marriage shouldn’t be allowed not for the sake of religion or tradition, but because it is but an issue of pride and vanity.
