  The title of this article is called Leisure and Family: Perspectives of Male Adolescents Who Engage in Delinquent Activity as Leisure. This article was found on the database business source elite and it comes from the journal of Leisure Research; 1999, 4th Quarter, Vol 31 issue 4, wrote by Robertson B, J. This article was initially chosen because of the material in the research paper which relates to the dissertation topic which is being persuaded, in relation to why young people are participating in "alternative" leisure and sporting lifestyles as oppose to following traditional sporting programs such as rugby, soccer and hockey. The researchers reasons for carrying out this article is to highlight the fact that there is little research to investigate the family background of adolescents who choose delinquent rather than socially acceptable forms of leisure pursuit. Robertson indicates that the study will be a very interesting and a relevant sociological study to establish what the origins are that initially set off the chain of motivates to why young people carry out such activities. This research paper is quite long but very interesting in the way it initially leads the reader thought a concise historical overview of previous studies that has been carried out. The paper tries to relate to the previous studies and conclusions in relation to leisure and family research to justify and set its study in context.
