Cry Freedom is an interesting movie on the theme of Apartheid. Which was a legal way to exercise racism through the law and this would mean the police were the ones with most of the power. And the ability to reinforce violence when they want to. The police were also able to choose the land that the blacks lived on this meant the police gave blacks land that was poor for farming. They did not allow the blacks to go to bars or go to the same schools as the whites. By this, you can see the rights in this country were racial to the black people.
Steve Biko was one of the black men who knew what the police did and how the police operated. Steve Biko was one of the main characters in this as well as Donald Woods, who was Steve's white friend. Donald eventually began to look at the law the way Steve did which was in a illegal way.
