I watched the movie Boyz N The Hood. It is a movie that depicts life as a poor lower class, mostly black, young individuals growing up in the inner city, otherwise known as the "ghetto". It focuses on a small group of individuals who fall into the previously mentioned category and follows them from adolescense all the way through high school. Some of the main characters are Tre, Doughboy, and Ricky. The central theme of the movie is intertwined with the very different lives these three men lead, even though they all come from the same Hood.
The movie has a central focus of how society has forced these young men to have to live in a world that often time resembles an urban war zone like atmosphere. They are forced to live in segregated, highly poor communities which are inhabitated by mostly poor minorities. There streets are filled with violence and drugs. These people see this violence day in and day out, with no repreval. The young children see this violence on there way to their poor highly minority schools...
