Globalization, according to Thomas Friedman, author of The Lexus and the Olive Tree, is the new paradigm for comprehending the current state of economics, politics, and world culture. Globalization is the integration of labor, capital, technology, and information across national borders. Friedman states that in order to understand the post-Cold War world, it is first necessary to gain an understanding of the new international system, which has succeeded it-globalization
