Components of Fitness:
The components of fitness are placed into two groups:
Motor Fitness
Physical Fitness
Motor Fitness:
Motor Fitness is the ability of a person to perform well at a particular game or activity. These components enable a person to perform a skill successfully.
Agility: This is the physical ability that enables a person to rapidly change body position and direction in a precise manner.
Balance: This is the ability to retain the centre of mass of the body above the base of support. There are two types of balances the first is a STATIC balance. This is the ability to hold a balance in a stationary position. The second is a DYNAMIC balance. This is the ability to maintain balance under changing conditions of body movement and shape.
Coordination: This is using your senses to perform smooth and accurate motor tasks.
