Indian’s. Mary is caught during an invasion in the town of Lancaster during King Philips War in 1676. ... This narrative describes Mary Rowlandson’s manner in which she was captured, her struggles doing her captivity, and her return to her family. Mary relied on her faith in God to see her through all the trials she encountered. Doing this time period Mary had to deal with the death of her child, the absence of her usual way of life with family and friends, the horrific living conditions of her Indian captures, and her struggle to maintain her Christian beliefs.
