"Get up Koji, it's Christmas time!" said my little brother Otaro "Yah, yah I'll be down in a minute, let me just wake up a second" "alright but hurry".
Slowly, I got up from my bed as my brother ran out of my room and down the stairs, he always gets overly excited around this time of year, but I guess having Christmas in Canada will do that to you. It's such an important day over there, everyone's always in a rush to make everyone so happy. Me, I don't really care for Christmas, we only have it because my mom is Christian and we sort of feel obligated to celebrate it with her. Although ever since she her and my dad split up and took otaro to Canada I haven't had much simpathy
"Come on! Mom won't let anyone open presents until we are all at the tree" said otaro very impaitiently "ok, ok" I replied as I started to slowly walk down the stairs. "Hey where's dad at?" I said "Oh he's at work he'll be back in time for Christmas dinner" replied my mom. Dinner was the only part of Christmas I actually liked because no matter how media driven Christmas is over here, nothing can wreck the satisfaction of eating...
