Nazi Germany was a terrible country up until 1933 when Hitler came to power. Hitler soon became very popular with the German people and became unstoppable with very little opposition especially due to propaganda.
Propaganda was very effective and important because it was so widespread, it captured the Germans and brainwashed everyone from almost anything. The radio was one of the most important because they were sold very cheaply and no foreign broadcasts could be picked up to prevent other countries using propaganda, the radio broadcasted German music and Hitler's speeches. The press was biased, the Nazi leader Goebells even set up one paper to tell the Nazi's what they wanted to hear and Anti-Nazi newspapers were shut down. Films were made about Germany and people were forced to watch Nazi propaganda newsreels before the film had started. There were also many festivals in the street where everyone lived to capture the German people and Hitler knew the German people liked these marches. Hitler had control over women and families with special rules about who women were marrying and what they looked like. Propaganda was almost inescapable with it used everywhere you go.
