Although in the past Egypt has been considered a diminutive, unimportant country with a small population, in the last 20 years, it has made many advancements that have increased its population greatly. It is only in the last decade that any decline has been made in the actual percent of population increase itself, and even that was limited. When compared to Egypt in the 1980's the current Egypt is a very changed country. Unlike many other Middle Eastern countries that have regressed into poverty, Egypt has grown immeasurably. However, this change may be for good or for bad. Population is currently considered one of the main problems in Egypt.
