Task:
There is a new product being designed it is an electric lawn mower. The problem is if a customer uses an extension lead to overcome the lack of length; the suppressor and earth breaker do not work to their full efficiency. The major concern is how long should the flex lead be. This is a lightweight design and should not be a revolutionary product.
Objective:
The objective of this problem is to solve the problem and find a solution using QFD methods with the solution.
To do this assignment I will be using the house of quality as my method of QFD this method consists of six basic steps.
1) Identify customer requirements.
2) Identify technical requirements.
3) Relate the customer requirements to the technical requirements.
4) Conduct an evaluation of competing products...
