"The Family is probably the most ancient human institution, changing and evolving as society itself was transformed. Currently it is beset with problems that question its future viability."
Looking at this statement it makes us wonder about our family life in society today and compare it to the "traditional" days. Our society as a whole has changed so dramatically that it cannot be helped that family life will not change along with it. Looking at different parenting styles, divorce rates, technology booms, family violence, and the change from "traditional" two parent families to single households, homosexual couples, and remarriages, we can see how the change in family life is bringing it to its demise.
It is statistically said, and obvious to the human eye that divorce rates have increased over the decades. There are many reasons why divorces appear to be more common today. One being the fact that women are more independent. They have spread themselves to the work force and have become financially independent. It is ok for them to go into the working world, and continue on working after childbirth as well...
