The very reason that I took the course "Death As a Fact of Life" was to develop a sense of how to deal with people I love dieing and how to mentally prepare for it myself. In this paper I would like to share what experiences I have encountered in my lifetime that have had a serious impact on me or others close to me. I will show the different emotions and mental thinking that occurred during these times from all the people around from the person dieing to the persons closest to them. There are certain behaviors that run into the psychology of this course. Some behaviors I witnessed agree with the teachings of this course while others do not.
The first case we shall look at is the sudden death of my best friend's father. In this course we did not touch to much on the topic of sudden death but I did notice certain bereavement behaviors. Imagine kissing your husband goodbye in the morning as he leaves for work. Nothing is wrong with him but you will never see him again. He is going to die that day...
