discussion between Othello and Iago is in regard of Desdemona
infidelity. Iago plans to ruin Othello by carrying out a plan based on lies
and deceit. This plan will make Iago the only person That Othello
believe, he can trust, and Iago will use this trust to manipulate Othello.
Othello loves and trusts Desdemona, his wife until Iago came and
persuade him. Othello put entire confidence in the honestly of Iago,
who had not only been his companion in arms, but as he believed, had
just proved his faithfulness in the matter of marriage.
Iago has not reason to hate Othello, but because he is an evil
person Iago wants to ruin Othello's life. Iago heard a rumor that Othello
had slept with Emilia, and he feels that he must have revenge.
Iago intention was to make Othello believe Desdemona is
having an affair with Cassio. Although Othello honestly believes
that Iago is one of the most truthful and faithful servants he has even
had. This is an irony because Iago is exactly the opposite of what he
seems, he is leading Othello to believe something that is not true, and he
is misleading Othello...
