Education in America is a guaranteed right. Whether a student wants to attend school or not, he or she must go. School does not become an option until 18 years of age: the age when one typically graduates from high school. The choice finally becomes the student when college becomes an option. I feel formal education should become a privilege and not a right in America.
Formal education is an organization of educators teaching certain traits of knowledge that are deemed necessary in the working world and higher education. Formal education is a structured, organized curriculum. Attending a school is more formal than home school. Formal education has qualified instructors teaching the basics of reading, writing, arithmetic and then additional significant information.
