The Ancient Indus River Valley Civilization was extremely efficient and extraordinarily advanced for its time. Government, especially, was extremely advanced. The Indus government known as the Harappan Government was controlled by priest called Brahmins, in a theocracy (a government ruled by or subject to religious authority). Citizens of cities in the Indus River Valley were very much part of the government. Involvement in government could be a good or sometimes bad experience depending on your social status in the caste system. Harappan Government made an immense amount of advancements during its time in history, many of which significantly influenced following generations.
Harappan government was intertwined with the religion of the area, an early form of Buddhism. The Harappans form of government was a theocracy. The most important figures in the Harappan government were Brahmins, placed as kings or highly appointed figures in government. Brahmins were thought to be the closest to the gods, with the ability to communicate directly with them, which placed them above citizens of lower stature...
