2003 MARKETING PLAN
I. Executive Summary
Segway Corporation is a Limited Liability Corporation based in Manchester, NH. The Company's product line resolves around a single concept of developing a "personal transporter" an "evolution in mobility". This technology is called the Segway Human Transporter (HT) which is the first self-balancing, two wheeled, electric-powered transporter, where the motion of the rider moves and stops the vehicle. This revolutionary approach to personal transportation was introduced in December of 2001. (See Attachment C of this Marketing Plan for a complete Division Organization Chart.)
Dynamic stabilization is the technology that allows the Segway to self-balance. When you lean forward, it moves forward, when you lean back, it moves back, and when you straighten it stops. It also has a zero degree turning radius which no other vehicle has and just the turn of your wrist tells the Segway to turn.
