all right, i thought you guys might be able to cope with some french as well, but alright let's write it again in english, hm i was talking about a jean paul sartre book which is called "les jeux sont fait" in french probably the game is over in english or something like that. it's a real winner except for the end which is a bit aprupt and well a bit bizzare, at least it's not a happy end ;).
it's about death and how two people from very different social "classes" meet when they're dead. One of them is Eve Charlier, who is the wife of a very important military officer and Pierre Dumain, who works together with a small group of concpiriators (does that word really exist? i tried to directly translate it from french to english....) well the two protagonists, even though they're not heros, are told that they were ment to be together, but that they unfortunately never met in their life, so they'll get a second chance, the have to proof their love to one another in only 24 hours, of course a lot of problems occur when they get back to the real world. Eve wants to save her sister from her husband who poisened her, because he wanted to marry her sister because of her money. And Pierre wants to tell his friends about the danger they're in (he was shot) but nothing works out, Eve fails in saving her little sis and Pierre's friends think that he's a spy. they don't manage to proof their love either and die after 24 hours for the second time, they meet in a park and talk a little and then part again and that's the end of the book, which can also be seen as a black and white movie, but i wouldn't recommand to watch it in french if you're not really fluent, 'cause it's hard to understand, i'm not sure if it exists in english as well, but maybe with subtitles or something, which might be an even more attractive version..
