Abolishment Of The S.A.T.
There have been many controversial issues and concerns about the standardized
tests used in the college admission process. The greatest concern is about the Scholastic
Aptitude Test, commonly known as the SAT. This test is used nationwide by almost all
colleges and universities for purposes like admissions, scholarships and honors
programme acceptances. Many people have various opinions about the importance or
unimportance of the test, but in my own humble opinion, I see the SAT just as a
gambling game, high scores, gateway to college of choice and low scores, take test again
or apply somewhere else. Therefore, I think that the SAT should be abolished, because it
only judges the ability one has to take the test instead of the ability and desire one has to
learn.
I will note down my reasons as to why I think it should be abolished. First, the
SAT is not tied to high school curriculum, not linked with skills and requirements needed
to succeed in college and also not embedded within the teaching done in the classroom...
