Throughout the years, many sports scandals have occurred and with that there is always been the media to cover it and shot it to viewers. This last summer, one big scandal happened, the former Los Angeles Lakers basketball star, Kobe Bryant was charged with sexual assault on a minor, named Pamela Mackay. This story was covered by almost every media sources in North America, which has stirred up a lot of controversy. The media coverage had many consequences on Kobe Bryant's life and on his career. The media can " "ruin" one's career an instant in different ways but can also help it in some other point. Ruin a career by: losing sponsors, having problems with his private life or even getting suspended by the national basketball association (NBA). These are all psychological repercussions. On the other hand though, the media coverage of the scandal may increase one's popularity.
