Dynamics of Trash
I had breakfast with an editor of a magazine the other morn, and the problem of trash at the dunes came up. He brought up a point that really had never crossed my mind. A person with a couple of adult beverages in him, who might not ever throw down a piece of trash on the ground, will be more prone to liter than someone 100% sober. Yes I think he is right. Wasn't the reason alcohol was developed in the first place so ugly dudes and fatty chix could get together? Yes we agreed that booze makes you stupid, gives you amnesia, and lowers your conscience level.
This is why the areas around Olds/Comp Hills where people drink, tend to be trash pits. There will be trash as long as there is drinking. One breeds the other (along with many other problems: coyote ugly comes to mind). Not all drinkers trash, but a sober dude is less prone to trash, it is my belief...
