Scarlet Letter characters

In the novel, the Scarlet Letter, by Nathanial Hawthorne, actions taken by major characters have a profound effect on themselves, others, and the community. Two characters that obviously show this are Dimmesdale and Hester, whose choice to have a relationship together creates a lasting effect on there lives and the lives of the entire community. ...
