A Pest Control Operator is one of my career goals, and he must be knowledgeable of pesticides, fungicides, matricides, rodentcides, and safety.
A pesticide is any subtance or mixture of substances intended for preventing, destroying, repelling, or mitigating any pests; here are a few types of pesticides:
Fungicides to kill certain types of fungi
Matticides to kill mits that birds or other animals may carry
Rodentcides- kills rats, mice, and other household rodents.
Safety is the biggest problem with pest control operators today. People that do not wear Catridge Respirator whie working with pesticides may burn their nose. The pesticides have a distinct smell to them. While operating on a house you need to be wearing the folowing equipment so you will not be harmed:
1. Plastic or Leather Gloves
2. Respirator
3. Protective clothing (coveralls)
4. Safety Work Boots
