A composer can be defined as a writer of music (World Book Dictionary). John Kander & Fred Ebb, Howard Shore, John Williams, Danny Elfman, Quincy Jones, and Randy Newman all have greatly contributed to the music world. These are composers that have spectacular talents and brought forward a true taste of music.
John Kander & Fred Ebb are composers that are known for the musical Chicago. Chicago is a story about a girl who murders her unfaithful husband and manages to avoid prison with the help of her flamboyant lawyer. As a team, they both had different jobs, John Kander was responsible for the music, and Fred Ebb was in charge of the lyrics. The two combined was a match made in heaven winning "Best Direction of a Musical".
