Ancient Greeks and their influence on Western Civilization

The ancient Greeks had much to do with the roots of western civilization. Their superior methods of living were followed by many civilizations throughout the years. Their long lasting contributions in the areas of art, architectural, philosophy, math, drama, and science still play a part today in how we do various jobs and careers. The world we know today in the West owes its origins to the ancient Greeks.
There is no doubt Socrates was one of the great Philosophers during the Golden Age of Athens under Pericles. Philosophy might be one the most useful contributions the Greeks left us.
As stated by Socrates "The unexamined life is not worth living." which suggests that if people do not question the world around them that are no different then the simplest of life forms.
