Life Would be so Empty Without Him
Rock 'n' Roll has always been shocking people, sometimes the job of art is to shock people. Eminem is just carrying on the tradition. Love him or hate him, he does have a strong and lasting influence on American society today. His lyrics cover controversial issues such as his misogynistic views, gay bashing, and extreme violence. Ultimately Eminem remains a modern voice, as he represents the youth today, and gives fans what they want to hear.
Eminem pleases his fans by giving that what they want, so he can keep making millions. Like any other artist, he wishes to make money through expressing himself to the world. Unlike many pop stars, Eminem fails to sell out, maintaining his image without lowering himself to the increased demands of corporate contracts. He keeps it real by spending hours in the studio, writing about his life, his love, and his child. In his own CD's he has skits where he tells his manager to bug off for telling him to adjust his style...
