History of Philosophy
Philosophy comes from the word two Greek words, philo and sophia, which together mean love of wisdom. I the beginning philosophy attempted to answer the posing question of the universe and the nature of reality. As time went on philosophers answered questions of morality and the nature of the state. Philosophy as we know it today has come through many transformations. It is comprised of the thoughts and theories of a vast array of philosophers. Although some may not have directly contributed to what we know as truth today, but they may have started the thinking process. Most people look at the theories of yesteryears and we think, "How could anyone think that." Though we fail to realize, they did not have the instruments or the base knowledge that we have today.
