Living Peacefully
You are the leader of your Maine Native American tribe. You are gathering with the leaders of the other three Maine tribes to reach an agreement on how to reach an agreement on how to live peacefully in the same area.
There are similarities and differences between the tribes lifestyle, belief system, past, and government. You need to make a proposal for how the four tribes can co-exist.
Within your proposal you must choose one of these categories to compare and contrast. Make sure you identify 1) the commonalities and how those commonalities benefit all of the tribes living in the area and 2) the potential problems (or the contrasting practices) with a potential solution.
Dear Tribal Leaders,
As the leader of the Maliseet tribe, I am here today to read to you a proposal for how we can continue to coexist peacefully. Though our lifestyles do have many similarities, there are also problems we will have to work through.
Our religious beliefs and practices are all very similar, so there wont be much to worry about there. All of our tribes will continue to worship Glooskap (whichever way your tribe spells it), listen to stories by our Medicine Men, and practice smudging...
