The Lion King
What a tantalizing and breath taking play from beginning to end. I truly don't think I could come up with one bad thought or thing to say about this amazing play, musical, dance event if I wanted to. It had to be one of the greatest things I have ever seen, I thought I had seen exciting things before but this just takes things to a new plateau. I was astonished I don't even have words to explain how great the performance was. Everything is majestic, the orchestration of the plays main thematic song "Circle of Life" heightens as animals from all over the land culminate to Pride Rock for the great ceremony taking place.
The play was choreographed by Mr. Garth Fagan, whose influences came from American modern dance, Afro-Caribbean movement, ballet, and post-modern experimentation. He has blended these with his own unique style of movement and technique to create an internationally recognized body of choreography.
