For my essay on "The role of Woman in Islam" I choose these three issues that I am interested in, and to explore issues that concern woman in Islam, witch are Are men and women equal in God's judgment? , The basic rules governing marriage, Woman dress code in Islam.
Are men and woman equal in God's judgment? In the Quran 3:195 it tells us that "God treats men and women as spiritual equals", but in traditional Islam the answer is different. Muslims are treating women as second class citizens. This is because most of the Muslim countries that treat woman in a poor manner are because they do not agree with the Quran on this subject. They have taken the words of men instead of the words of God and therefore choose to treat woman at the same level as animals such as monkeys, asses, or dogs. I think that it is time to go back to the Quran, and believe God. I believe if you say you believe in a religion you must accept all; not parts of it.
The basic rules governing marriage are both people must be single and has never been married, widowed or divorced...
