When I opened my eyes this morning, my house was silent. My two boys, Wilson, 9 months, and Jackson, 3 1/2, were still asleep. And it was 7:15! This was a rarity in my life and in the lives of most mothers. I quickly brushed my teeth, went to the bathroom and hustled to my special spot by the French doors in my bedroom. I sat in Virasana, sitting between my feet, and I closed my eyes. If anything, I would meditate until I heard my boys wake up. As soon as my eyes shut, my mind played the movie of my life. I ran through the schedule of my day. Jackson had a playdate coming over this morning. Would I need to get him medicine for that canker sore (his first, explain that to a kid) in his mouth?
